HL Klemove launching Brand Flim
Halla Group launched its autonomous driving and mobility company HL Klemove on December 2. HL Klemove is a new affiliate of Halla Group, and was established by merging MMS (Mando Mobility Solutions), which separated from Mando, with the former MHE (Mando Hella Electronics).
Klemove declared its ‘generalization of safe and complete autonomous driving.’ Klemove is a company that has already produced and supplied more than 20 million advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and has more than 2,000 patents in autonomous driving technology.

HL Klemove will complete the commercialization of its core products for fully autonomous driving by 2025. HL Klemove’s core products for autonomous driving include lidars, 4D imaging radars, high-resolution cameras, in-cabin sensors, and high-performance autonomous driving control units.
The company also obtained a patent for mechanical lidars and is currently developing high-resolution solid state lidars to lead the global market. 4D imaging radars use advanced high-resolution sensors to accurately perceive the surrounding environment by learning 4D (distance, speed, angle, height) space images.

Klemove’s lidars and 4D imaging radars will also be applied to smart cities and robots. The company will launch Level 3 high-performance autonomous driving control units (ADCU) next year and will also develop next-generation control units that can cover all of Level 2 to Level 4 of autonomous driving by 2024.

HL Klemove will expand into the global market. In North America where Level 3 autonomous driving or higher is required, the company provides high-performance autonomous driving solutions in collaboration with global application processor/software companies. HL Klemove is also pursuing localization of production with a focus on local production bases. The company is set to expand its presence in the Chinese market through joint marketing with Mando’s successful, advanced electronic chassis control system.
In India, the company will implement localization strategies by developing customized Level 2 products and applying them to local automobile companies.
